Rhododendrons blooming, suburban traffic, loud music and dancing in the kitchen, my mother's cooking, skateboards outside the window at night, jokes over dinner, a bedroom full of boxes.

I came home to a welcome-home banner (with the O in home drawn as the PHC circle, complete with dorms down the side), pink roses on my desk, the "You Are Special" plate at dinner, and chocolate and cards on my bedside table. (The best of them, from Little One, was a tiny police car carrying a sign that read "You must sleep.") My family is beyond kind.

And to all of you who make life at PHC a joy to remember and a sorrow to leave, the Lord be with you. Or, to quote Christina Rosetti,

God be with you,
Keep you in strong obedience leal and true
To Him whose noble service setteth free,
Give you all good we see or can foresee,
Make your joys many and your sorrows few,
Bless you in what you bear and what you do,
Yea, perfect you as He would have you be.
